SyteLine is the latest product and name for a software application designed to provide the operational accounting for midsize manufacturers and distributors as well as subsidiaries of Fortune 500 companies. The founding company, Symix, was formed in 1979 and the product line has evolved through several names (Syman, Symix, and SyteLine) as well as several owners (Symix, Frontstep, MAPICS, and Infor). Syman is the oldest version of the SyteLine/Symix enterprise resource planning (ERP) System. Symix is an older version of the SyteLine ERP System. SyteLine is the latest version of this ERP system.
